Jen and Mark Driscoll, along with their infant daughter, first bought the four-bedroom, 2 ½ bath Colonial in Blue Bell in 2014 as a way to move from Conshohocken to the area where Jen had grown up. Now several years and many renovations later, the family is moving again to their dream home in Lower Gwynedd, so the beautiful Blue Bell property is up for sale, writes Paul Jablow for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

When the couple bought the Blue Bell house, it was in disrepair, and renovating it was a lengthy, eight-year process, said Jen, who works as a realtor. “But it was love at first sight for me. I could see the changes I wanted.”

Beginning with the fundamentals, the entire HVAC and hot water heater had to be replaced.

Afterward, they had the hardwood floors refinished, a new roof put on, and the basement was made into a play area for their now two daughters. Jen and Mark’s family helped pitch in for much of the work.

But the renovations have paid off with a beautiful home.

The front walk leads to a gorgeous interior with warm walnut-colored floors, wainscoting, and a living room that offers built-in cabinets. Next to the living room is a formal dining room with a chair rail and crown molding.

In the kitchen, there are full GE stainless steel appliances, white cabinets with white subway tile backsplash, and granite countertops. There’s a gas log fireplace in the family room and sliding doors that lead to a covered rear porch with a stone fire pit.

A total of four bedrooms can be found upstairs. The primary bedroom has two closets with built-in shelving and an en suite bathroom.

According to Jen, the neighborhood is “really special” and hosts a variety of community events including lighting candles on the curbs on Christmas to create what she called “Santa’s runway.”

The house itself is 3,050-square-feet and is located in the Wissahickon School District.

It is listed by Lauren Kolea Stanton and Jen Driscoll of Keller William Realty in Devon-Wayne for $750,000.
