Community Health & Dental Care (CHDC) welcomes new vision provider, Marie Gwinn, OD to its Pottstown health center location at 351 W. Schuylkill Road, Pottstown.
Now accepting new vision patients, Dr. Gwinn comes to CHDC as an experienced optometrist provider at the Coventry Mall location.
In addition to general optometry, Dr. Gwinn is skilled in specialty care, including pediatrics, learning-related vision disorders, myopia management, specialty contact lenses, and medical optometry.

Dr. Marie Gwinn earned her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA and a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University in West Chester, PA with Major in Liberal Arts and a Minor in Biology.
Dr. Gwinn serves as Secretary of the Chester-Delaware Optometric Society and is affiliated with the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, among others.
Passionate about community outreach and humanitarian work, Dr. Gwinn’s experience also includes volunteer service providing vision screenings in Guatemala, rural Haitian villages, as well as locally in and around the Philadelphia area.

They accept most major Commercial, Medicare, and Medicare supplement plans, Fee for Service Medicaid, and Managed Care Medicaid plans and provide a health care discount for eligible uninsured and underinsured patients.
For qualified patients receiving a 100% healthcare discount, the nominal fee for a medical/behavioral health/vision visit is $20, $35 for a dental visit, and $5 for a prescription.
CHDC can offer the health care discount because they receive annual funding from their Federal partner, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) since 2012 as a designated Federally Qualified Health Center.
