See Which Montco Companies Are Among 20 Best Performing Philadelphia Area Stocks of 2021

Last year was good for publicly traded companies in the Philadelphia region, with over 60 percent of them recording stock price gains in 2021, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Philadelphia Business Journal looked at 118 publicly traded companies in the area to determine which ones were the biggest winners. It found that out of the 20 best-performing stocks in the last year, three are in Montgomery County.

Amrep Corp. in Plymouth Meeting ranked highest in tenth place on the list. The real estate company recorded a growth rate of 78 percent in 2021. The company’s stock price increased from $8.15 on January 4 to $15.14 on December 31.

Next is Toll Brothers in No. 13. the Fort Washington-based luxury home builder saw its stock increase by 65 percent last year, rising from $43.62 to $71.78.

The list is rounded out by Bryn Mawr Bank in No. 17 with a 49 percent stock price increase, from $30.74 to $45.89.
