Lansdale’s Stove and Tap Owners Open New Dive Bar in West Chester — and It Has the Coolest Name
The latest project from Lansdale’s hospitality group Stove and Co. officially opened its doors on Thursday. Ryan Mulligan sauntered through the establishment’s backstory for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The opening of a West Chester dive bar named Good Bad and Ugly (although it delivers a more upscale experience) begs this question: Will the theme music from the iconic Clint Eastwood film The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (1966) greet every patron?
According to Stove and Co. co-owner Justin Weathers, the 2,000-square-foot space is “our play on a dive bar, but in a fun, more modern environment.”
The space boasts a 45-foot bar that will be able to accommodate around 35 people. There will also be additional seating at five four-person high-tops. Meanwhile, the tavern will feature a pool table, a foosball table, and shuffleboard.
Patrons will be able to access the space by going down the steps in Stove and Tap or using the side entrance after restaurant hours.
The drink menu will feature tequila, house cocktails, and 22 beers on tap, among many other choices. The limited food menu will borrow from the upstairs offerings and include the standard bar fare, such as chicken wings and French fries.
