Get in the holiday spirit with the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol at Steel River Playhouse, 245 E. High Street in Pottstown.

This spectacular musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’s most well-known story was written by Broadway heavy hitters Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Little Shop and Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical).

They breathe fantastic new life into the classic tale of A Christmas Carol, a traditional holiday ghost story that ultimately shows us that choosing love will bring redemption and acceptance of our fellow man.

Bring your whole family to enjoy this wonderful, uplifting story with beautiful costumes and the fabulous orchestra that audiences have come to expect from Steel River Playhouse.

They welcome back Director Michael Licata, Music Director Julie Eurillo, Choreographer Rex Henriques and Stage Manager Lydia Klementisz, as well as many members of the cast who performed the last time they presented this popular musical, including Joe Ciresi as Ebenezer Scrooge.

You won’t want to miss a special opening night celebration on Friday, December 3rd!

Join Steel River for this festive event to “Raise our Curtain” as they celebrate the return of live theater and the holiday season.

This fundraising event includes a champagne toast, a small donation to the Playhouse, and other festivities to mark our return.

Rita Pederson, Managing Director, notes, “We are so excited to welcome audiences back to live theater on High Street in Pottstown and know that when we all work together, we can ensure performances like this season after season.”
