Montgomery County Bakeries and Shops Make Local List of Savory Pies

A Philly-area guide to savory pies, from chicken pot pies to meat pies, which are the perfect item to enjoy anytime. The list of piping hot savory pies, compiled by Sarah Maiellano for Philadelphia Magazine, seems fitting with our wacky PA weather.

Everyone’s favorite local cheese shop also offers a variety of ready-to-heat meals, including a savory pie of red-wine braised beef and vegetable pot pie, as well as their homemade Shepherd’s Pie smashed Idaho potatoes on top. And coming now to Wayne!

Hill’s Quality Seafood Markets, with locations in Media, Glen Mills, Exton, and Newtown Square offers seafood pot pies, each one creamy and bursting full of tender shrimp, bay scallops, clams, and potatoes. You can purchase frozen pies and pick up a whole host of dinner items, too.

Frecon Farms
Berks County’s Frecon Farms creates their delectable chicken pot pies and brings them to farmers markets in Rittenhouse and Bryn Mawr. They come in a persona and family-size and are excellent for quick dinners. They also offer pies, soups, and so much more.
