King of Prussia father and son duo Kerwin and Keith Yarde have turned their love for all things Star Wars into a successful YouTube series and podcast “Father and Son: A Star Wars Podcast,” writes Stephanie Farr for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The father is a seasoned Star Wars fan who decided to share his passion with his older son in 2015 when the latest trilogy debuted. With the help of the force, another fan was born.
So when the pandemic started, the pair were looking for something to break the monotony of the quarantine.
At the suggestion of his wife, Tanya Manning-Yarde, Yarde decided to turn the breakfast conversations on Star Wars between him and his older boy into a podcast.
They launched the series in March.
Since then they have been entertaining their sizable following with thoughtful discussions and interviews, including with Mark Daniel, who works for Disney Entertainment and hosts the fan convention.
“What I think we also bring to our series is that people have never seen an African American son and father talk about Star Wars,” said Yarde.
