West Chester residents Dean and Heidi Puliti — the owners of Iacobucci Formal Wear, which has locations in Glen Mills and Morton — did not allow the pandemic to change their plans to partner with a pair of local restaurateurs and open a new pizzeria in Woodlyn, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

The goal for the Pulitis and their partners, Semo and Ebony Wahdan of Brookhaven, was to offer the area authentic, boardwalk-style pizza made from scratch.

The menu has something for everybody, from hot and cold sandwiches to burgers, wraps, salads, and seafood at their pizzeria.

As longtime fans of Semo’s pizza, they first offered to go into business with him two years ago.

“Semo is known for his hard work ethic and his pizza,” said Dean. “His food is unbelievable, and his white pizza is dynamite.”

As a result, Rocko’s Pizza opened on July 27, 2020. The pizzeria has been a big success, despite the timing of its opening, and recently celebrated its first anniversary.
