SmartAsset viewed and updated data to find the best places for small business owners in the United States of America.

To determine the ranking, SmartAsset considered three main factors of those with small businesses, including the proportion of people with small business income, the amount of business income reported by them, and the amount of income tax.

Montgomery County is among the 15 best places in Pennsylvania for small business owners, according to a new report recently released by SmartAsset.

Montgomery County ranked at No. 14 with a small business index of 1.22. This put it in No. 1932 nationwide.

The county has returns of 23.95 percent, which is the second-highest in the state and significantly above the Pennsylvania median of 18.58 percent.

However, it has an average small business income of 5.69 percent, which puts it in No. 46 statewide and below the state average of 7.51 percent.

Meanwhile, the income tax that owners need to pay is $10,919, which is slightly above the Pennsylvania average of $10,835.

Chester County ranked as the best place for small biz owners, while Delaware and Bucks counties also made the top ten in fifth and tenth place, respectively.
