Collegeville’s Troubles End Brewery Highlights Birth of Their Beer
When a group of friends made up their minds and decided to open a new brewery in Collegeville, not even the pandemic could dissuade them from their plans, reports Vittoria Woodill for CBS3 Philly.
The budding brewers have transformed an old flag factory into a free-spirited and colorful Troubles End Brewery.
Head brewer Zach Svoboda likes to highlight the places where a beer’s life starts, which is with local farmers.
“I want people to taste my beer as a living product, as an actual thing living in the glass,” he said. “I want to make sure it’s local, I want to make sure it’s seasonal and I want to make sure it’s from a farmer I know.”
The brewery also makes its own sodas and offers delicious fare, including the Bang Bang Brussels Sprouts and Smoked Brisket Reuben.
Dessert lovers also have several options to choose from, including the tasty Brownie Sundae.
And while opening their doors for the first time during the height of the pandemic was not easy, all the friends love what they do and it was not hard for them to ensure things proceeded as planned.
