With degrees in Political Science: International Relations with a focus in Minority studies, a Masters from Villanova University in Political Science: International Relations, and Executive Education from Wharton in Strategy and Innovation, it’s no wonder that Holly Ann is the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at Montgomery County Community College.

When it comes to her proudest professional accomplishment, she says it is a culmination of what others might think are little things. “For some, those little things can be life-changing,” she says. “The opportunity to make an impact for our students with my colleagues motivates me. Working to integrate wellness in the Montco student experience as well as create marketing campaigns and PR that our students and the Montco Family are proud of making every day of work fulfilling.”

“If we can save one student’s life, change their trajectory, or make them believe in themselves—what could you possibly be prouder to be a part of?  As a first-generation college student, I don’t forget where I came from and it is incredibly important to me to pay it forward,” Holly Ann Clayton explains.

Many different things have happened in her career that have impacted who she is and how she relates to people. “Both the great and not great interactions throughout my career have defined the type of career and impact I want to have,” Holly Ann maintains. “I am so thankful for my team—their dedication to the College and our students is inspirational. I think it is important for people to always remember that how you treat someone can and will leave a lasting impact. Always be kind.”

Holly Ann Clayton loves Montgomery County and all it has to offer. “I am so happy to work and raise my family here. I love all the parks and opportunities to get outside,” she shares.
