Adriene Hobdy, Ed. D. is the Director, Talent Management & Leadership Development at Montgomery County Community College.

“I was born and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, then graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA. My major was Political Science,” explains Adriene. “I have two master’s degrees, both from The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. The first master’s is in budget and finance (M.S.) and the second is in Human Resources Management (MBA). I also have a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation from Wilmington University.”

Her proudest accomplishment was when she served as Faculty and Director of the Business Programs (Professional Studies) at Rosemont.

“I had a student who was a single mom of three kids and she had been trying to complete her bachelor’s degree. It took a lot of mentoring and guidance to get her to that point, but she finished strong and served as the Commencement Speaker,” Adriene says.

“She was very reluctant to serve as the student commencement speaker, but after coaching and supporting her she did a fantastic job. It was very rewarding for me to know that my work was meaningful and had a positive impact,” she says.

So many people have had an impact on her career, she states. “Many have provided me with excellent guidance on taking risks, handling professional challenges, and enjoying my professional journey,” Adriene Hobdy notes. “It is impossible for me to identify one person because it has truly been the collective influence of my network that has impacted my career.”

“I live and work in Montgomery County. Montgomery County is thriving and offers a wide variety of family fun activities and professional opportunities,” Adriene expresses. “I enjoy family time in the parks, the quaint local theaters, and the many outdoor activities.”
