Reverend Khristi Adams is the Dean of Spiritual Life & Equity and an instructor of Religious Studies at The Hill School in Pottstown.

She is a speaker, youth advocate, and ordained Baptist minister, as well as an author. She recently published Parable of the Brown Girl which was released right before the pandemic in February 2020.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York, grew up in East Brunswick, New Jersey, and attended Temple University, graduating with a BA in Advertising. The Reverend is also a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary where she obtained a Master of Divinity degree.

Rev. DeForest B. Soaries, Jr. has had the biggest impact on Reverend Khristi Adams’ career. “He was the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, New Jersey,” the Reverend states.

Parable of the Brown Girl has received awards for Best Young Adult Book from The African American Literary Awards and the New York Black Librarians Caucus. She is currently working on her next book, Unbossed: How Black Girls Are Leading the Way, to come out next year, with Broadleaf Books.

Reverend Khristi Adams says she loves living and working in Montgomery Country because there is a sense of family in each community.
