If you like upscale swim clubs, quality steak sandwiches, and a good local tavern, you can thank Broomall natives John McKenzie and Nick Reynolds for making these Marple businesses available, writes Michael Bradley for Main Line Today.

This summer, Splash Club, opened in May 2019, adds an ice cream parlor to its island themed club.  It already has an air conditioned restaurant, live music and private cabanas with table service.

An arcade and two more pools are in the works.

A second Splash Club opened near Kennett Square this Memorial Day.

The two are also behind Delco Steaks, which opened on Route 3 in Broomall just as the COVID lockdowns started. They have three other locations in Media, Folsom, and the Wells Fargo Center.

The two childhood friends managed to snag the last liquor license in Marple and opened Marple Public House.

All three Marple businesses are within a 5-minute drive of each other in Broomall.

“Nick and I think about things, and we always want something different and not already there,” McKenzie says. “Then we put quality to it.”
