With the French Open behind her, King of Prussia’s Ann Li is ready to continue working on making her major five life goals a reality, writes Cindy Shmerier for tennis.com.

The twenty-year-old set the sizable task for herself of winning each of the four Grand Slam tournaments and becoming the top player in the world.

Over the last ten months, she has made major strides toward achieving her goals. For the first time, her results have brought her close to entering the Top 50.

It all started at US Open last year where she eliminated 13th-seeded Alison Riske in the second round, before losing to former No. 1 Angelique Kerber.

She ended last season by winning the ITF World Tour/USTA Pro Circuit event that netted her $80,000. She kicked off the current season by reaching the final of the Grampians Trophy.

“I’ve had steady growth in the past, which I like,” said Li. “Sometimes players get results too quickly and then they go down. Once I get up there, I really want to stay there and be at the top.”
