Abington Soldier Joyfully Returns Home to Surprise His Family
U.S. Army Soldier Chad Wood has been deployed overseas in Kuwait for the past year but got to happily surprise his children at school.

Back home in Abington, the first order of business was to head over to Overlook Elementary and surprise his two children, Luke and Ella.
The children knew someone was coming to their school, but they never imagined it would be their father, home again.
6abc was there when the excited dad walked into the classroom to see his kids—definitely a special moment. His kids wasted not a minute running to their father for a happy reunion.
Abington soldier Wood said he was happy to be home and happy to have his kids back in his arms again.
The kids were surprised and happy to see their father at school.
The family had been communicating with Wood while he was overseas, but they greatly prefer hugs over phone calls, as Ella said the phone gets ‘really glitchy.’
