May 15 Update: ZIP Codes Where COVID-19 Has Spread the Most and the Least in Montgomery County
The number of new COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County has been slowing down, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News. Pennsylvania has reached over 1 million COVID-19 cases but on the downside of many new cases.
The latest data compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health highlights the cases of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending May 12, 2021 compared to the seven days prior.
The highest increase in during this period was in ZIP Code 19464 (Pottstown) reported an increase of 1%, with 42 new cases, and the second highest was 1% in ZIP Code 19468 (Royersford) with 23 new cases recorded in the last week, and ZIP Code 19446 (Lansdale) recorded at 1% increase with 23 cases as well.
Zip Code 18073 (Red Hill) reported an increase of 2% with 18 new cases. ZIP Code 19002 (Ambler) reported an increase of 1% with 13 new cases, while ZIP Code 19403 (Eagleville) also reported an increase of 1% with 13 new COVID-19 cases.
ZIP Code 19428 (Conshohocken) reported a 1% increase of 6 new cases.
In terms of where COVID-19 has spread the least, ZIP Code 19035 (Gladwyne) has reported 1% new cases, 2 total; while ZIP Code 19003 (Ardmore) has a 1% increase with 6 new cases. Zip Code 19004 (Bala Cynwyd) has a 1% increase with 6 new COVID-19 cases.
ZIP Code 19453 (Mont Clare) reported an increase of 4% with 2 new cases, ZIP Code 19025 (Dresher) has an increase of 1% increase of new COVID-19 cases with a total of 2.
ZIP Code 19046 (Jenkintown) also reported a 1% increase with 3 new cases.
ZIP Code 19031 (Whitemarsh) has reported zero new cases.
COVID-19 cases are slowing down in Montgomery County. Please continue wear a mask and wash your hands, as needed and as per the CDC guidelines.
