I’ll Have the Steak! Ardmore’s Newest Italian Steakhouse Officially Opens Its Doors
Ardmore lovers of good steak now have another option to choose from when the craving hits – the newly opened Italian steakhouse, DePaul’s Table, writes Laura Smythe for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The steakhouse is the brainchild of restaurant industry veteran Anthony DePaul. His two-decades-long experience in the sector includes time with Starr Restaurants and LaScala’s Restaurant & Bar, among many others.
However, the new eatery—opened in partnership with the Stove and Co. hospitality group—is his first time owning a restaurant.
Jose Galicia is leading the DePaul’s Table kitchen as executive chef, with menu items featuring filet mignon, seared diver scallops, and sesame-crusted ahi tuna, and much more.
There is also a raw bar that offers crab cocktails and various oysters, among others.
The restaurant is set in the historic space that once housed Haverford Trust Bank. There are 190 seats available inside, including the 40-seat bar.
But the biggest challenge for the eatery currently is filling the many available positions amid an ongoing labor shortage.
“Luckily I had five servers, a host, executive chef, and broiler cook follow me over from New Jersey that believes in what we are doing,” said DePaul.
