Conshohocken’s Firstrust Bank Sponsors Grant Program That Helps Small Businesses

Conshohocken’s Firstrust Bank is helping small businesses navigate difficult challenges brought on by the pandemic through a new grant program, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Firstrust Bank joins a growing list of local banks that are playing a role in enhancing the fortunes of local businesses that are strapped for cash.

In fact the bank has joined forces with the Philadelphia 76ers and the African American Chamber of Commerce of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware to sponsor Small Business Spotlight program.

Last week, the partnership announced six Black-owned small business winners from the area, each of who will receive $2,500 grants.

These include Dillonades, a Philadelphia-based woman-owned specialty juice company, DVINITI Skin Care, a Philadelphia-based all-natural plant-based skin care brand, and The Fresh Works, a sandwich shop with several locations in the Philadelphia area.

The chosen businesses will also be highlighted on several videos posted on 76ers social media platforms and website. The fans of the team voted for which businesses should be awarded the funds. Read more about Firstrust Bank in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
