Local Moms Helping Thousands of Montco Families Save Money During Giant Consignment Event This Week in Oaks
It has been one year since COVID-19 shut down much of the world, including Pennsylvania. The pandemic has had a monumental effect on many local small businesses including Just Between Friends Children’s Consignment in Oaks.
But the children’s consignment sale has adapted to the changing times so it can safely help local families save and make money and will have many precautions in place at its upcoming spring sales.
Twice a year, this pop-up sale helps families make money by turning their kids’ clutter into cash. At the same time, families can save up to 90 percent on items they need for their kids.
To comply with county and state guidelines and to protect the families who sell and shop, JBF COVID has set up these safety protocols:
- Limit venue occupancy to allow for social distancing
- Special shopping times for people at high risk
- All staff will be wearing face coverings
- Face coverings required for shoppers
- Temperature checks will be taken at the door
- Low and no-contact check out systems to avoid long lines
- Daily cleaning and hand sanitizer available to shoppers
Just Between Friends helps families save and make money, which can help many families who are struggling financially due to COVID-19.
MAKE MONEY: JBF helps families “turn spring cleaning clutter into cash” at their events. Local families sign up as consignors, price and tag their own items and bring them to the venue. JBF does the rest of the work. Consignors earn between 60% – 70% of the sale price. The average consignor check is about $350.
SAVE MONEY: JBF offers a great way for families to save money on spring and summer items. Shoppers can typically save 50% – 90% on everything they need for their families: clothing, shoes, toys, games, books, kids gear, baby equipment, furniture and much more.

PRODUCT SAFETY: The Consumer Product Safety Commission says at least two children’s items are recalled each week. JBF has a recall expert on their team who works closely with the CPSC as well as safety groups Kids in Danger and We Make It Safer to keep families informed. They inspect items and pull anything that has been recalled.
JBF GIVES BACK: Helping the community is another focus of Just Between Friends. JBF is honored to partner with Cradles to Crayons. Tracy Panase helps organize this big sale twice a year. She is available for interviews as well as local families who participate and their charity partners.
About Just Between Friends
In 1997, Just Between Friends was created in a living room in Tulsa, Oklahoma when Shannon Wilburn, a mother of two young children, and her friend Daven Tackett hosted a sale with 17 friends as consignors and had gross sales of $2000. The sales caught on with families and grew, so in 2003, they formed Just Between Friends Franchise Systems, Inc.
