Phenom, the Ambler-based HR tech company, has finalized its third acquisition of HR and recruiting companies in the last six months, writes Paige Gross for the Technical.ly.

After scooping up My Ally and Endouble last year, Phenom has now added Talentcube, a Germany-based experience-driven video technology company, to the list.

This latest acquisition will accelerate Phenom’s adoption of video for its users, supporting a “post-COVID, remote workforce,” according to the company.

By integrating Talentcube’s platform into its software, Phenom will offer candidates a way to create video-based resumes that can replace cover letters. The new platform also allows recruiters and hiring managers to conduct live and automated video interviews with candidates using minimal or mobile data speeds, something the company believes will be useful even post-pandemic.

“HR teams adopted video technology during the pandemic out of necessity, and moving forward, it will become a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining talent,” said Mahe Bayireddi, cofounder and CEO of Phenom.

The acquisition means that the company will also add an office in Munich, further expanding its presence in Europe. Financial details of the latest deal have not been disclosed.
