Votes in for Ruth ‘Butter’ Ginsburg, Baby Yoda, and Many Other Buttery DIY Creations at PA Farm Show
Ruth ‘Butter’ Ginsburg and Butter Baby Yoda are just a few of the many amazing buttery creations that viewers could vote for at the annual Pennsylvania Farm Show, writes Danya Henninger for the Billy Penn.
Since the PA Farm Show has had to go into the virtual realm this year, the beloved tradition of a buttery sculpture – created by a pair of Conshohocken artists for the past two decades – was interrupted for the first time since 1991.
Over the years, the sculptures have come in many forms, including a life-size Ben Franklin the first year and most recently everybody’s favorite mascot, Gritty.
This year, the people who usually admire the sculptures were given the chance to give the art form a try. A call was sent out for submissions for the DIY butter sculpture contest and dozens of people responded.
The submitted works range from simple to detailed to amusing.
Check out the submissions at the PA Farm Show’s Facebook page.
