Update: Here’s Where COVID-19 Has Spread the MOST and LEAST in Montgomery County in the Last Seven Days

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is still increasing nationwide and across the state, with some areas of Montgomery County affected more than others, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

The latest numbers compiled by Pennsylvania Department of Health highlight the rates of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending January 20 compared to infection rates for the seven days prior.

Pottstown COVID-19 cases have increased by 10%.

The highest percentage increase in Montgomery County during this period was recorded in ZIP Code 19464 (Pottstown.) Here the number of cases increased by 10 percent to reach 2,369.

ZIP Codes 19525 (New Hanover,) 19428 (West Conshohocken,) and 19454 (North Wales) all recorded an increase of 7 percent, reaching 652, 775, and 1,124 cases, respectively.

On the more positive side, several ZIP Codes have reported low or no increases in some cases. These include ZIP Code 19477 (Spring House) which only recorded one new case and ZIP Code 19437 (Gwynedd Valley) which remained at 22 cases.
