Community Care
Community Health and Dental Care in Pottstown has partnered with Operation 143, a local nonprofit organization, that ensures that children in the local community don’t go hungry over the weekend.

They provide backpacks full of ready-made food for students in the local school districts, like Spring-Ford, Pottstown, Pottsgrove, Boyertown, Upper Perk, and others.

The backpacks are distributed weekly to food-insecure students, thanks to community donations and the support of volunteers. With donation bins set up in all CHCD locations, they are able to help many kids this holiday season.

CHDC also participated in the Shining Star program, which is sponsored by Saint James Lutheran Church in Limerick. Usually they deliver food, but because of the pandemic, St James will be mailing out gift cards to our families to keep everyone safe.

This year, Operation Shining Star has allocated CHDC to sponsor 30 families – a new record high!

As we enter the winter holiday season, it is more important than ever to follow health guidelines when planning celebrations.

There is no better way to show how thankful you are for your loved ones than by keeping them safe and healthy!

The TCHC Virtual Town Hall is coming soon!
The TriCounty Health Council is offering a virtual town hall in January 2021.

Hear from local healthcare providers, including the Chief Medical Officer, Irene Shepard, CPNP. Irene will join fellow panelists from the healthcare community to discuss vaccinations, building trust in the healthcare system, and overcoming obstacles faced by communities of color in accessing medical care.
