Thanks to overwhelming participation from the incredible business community, the King of Prussia District’s 10th Annual Holiday Food Drive was their most fruitful drive yet.

Between October and November, several different businesses hosted donation boxes, encouraging employees, customers, and residents to help support the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard, which aides anyone who is food insecure in the Upper Merion Area School District.

King of Prussia District held its first ever Stuff-A-Truck donation drive to close out the 10th Annual Food Drive. The goal of Stuff-A-Truck was to fill an entire 16-foot box truck, donated by Ryder in King of Prussia, with food and goods to be delivered to UMACC at the end of the day.

Without leaving the comfort of their cars, participants were able to bring food donations to then be loaded up into the box truck. As more incentive, Starbucks in KOP Town Center and Founding Farmers KOP donated hot coffee and fresh, warm donuts for donators.

Volunteers from Brandywine Realty Trust, Arkema, CBRE, Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel and Conlin’s Print worked hard throughout the day despite the frigid temperatures, successfully filling the box truck entirely, as well as raising nearly $2,500 for UMACC.

Once the truck was filled, it was met at UMACC by the Upper Merion Area High School football team to help unload the goods.
