With many couples opting for smaller, more intimate weddings due to COVID-19, some local businesses have started offering catering options for micro-weddings, with two of them making the best 12 list in the Philadelphia area, write Matt Phillips and Kaliyah Dorsey for the Philadelphia Magazine.

Robert Ryan Catering & Design in Collegeville works with every micro-wedding client to create a package that fits specific guests’ needs.

The family-owned business makes safety its top priority with all food stations being protected by Plexiglas and all serving staff wearing masks.

Robert Ryan’s Barn on Bridge venue is ideal for small outdoor celebrations with a rustic vibe. While the business offers an all-inclusive package including allowing clients to remove elements for a smaller service at a reduced price.

Meanwhile, family-owned and family-operated Conner Catering in Haverford has more than nine decades of experience.

The business’ new micro-wedding packages accommodate 35 and 65 guests respectively. They no longer include any self-serve stations, buffets, or shared options. Instead, all menus are prepared as formal sit-down occasions.
