Narberth-based Eternally helps people avoid expensive, often stressful, and emotionally charged periods of confusion about medical care when making their end-of-life decisions, writes Alaina Johns for the Keystone Edge.

The company was founded at the start of the year by Matti Perilstein and Patrick FitzGerald.

While services that assist people in making their end-of-life healthcare decisions in advance are far from new, “we are the first 100 percent digital, one-on-one personalized advance-care planning platform,” said Perilstein.

The platform allows people to schedule the conversation from their home when they are emotionally ready. The service helps prepare an advance directive that in the event of an incapacitating accident or illness determines who can make medical decisions in the name of the affected person. Also which decisions they are authorized to make, and what types of care the person does or does not want.

When clients make an appointment for their call, “they can expect to be met by care and compassion, and understanding that these discussions can be really difficult,” said Perilstein.

She also emphasized that this is not just for elderly people, but it is a smart thing for any adult to have, particularly during a pandemic. Read more about Eternally at the Keystone Edge by clicking here.
