The Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Bureau has partnered with Montgomery County to develop an aggressive, $300,000 campaign that highlights the local businesses affected by the pandemic in efforts to facilitate the local economy’s recovery from the health crisis, writes Laura Smythe for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Together with Montgomery County’s commerce department, the VFTCB will launch a Main Street Campaign at the end of October. The campaign will carry into the first quarter of next year and shine a light on various experiences visitors can have throughout the main streets of Montgomery County.

Among the offerings that will be featured in the campaign will be hotels, retail stores, boutiques, restaurants, parks, and many tourist attractions.

“It’s all about on your own terms being able to have space and social distancing, but also experiential-wise, really engaging in the main streets of Montgomery County,” said Mike Bowman, CEO of VFTCB.

He added that the initiative represents a “direct marketing strategy” aimed at helping the nearby businesses impacted by the coronavirus.

The campaign will reach potential visitors through several mediums, including TV, digital platforms, and print.
