Bristol Myers Squibb Exec to Discuss Sourcing Innovation Through Acquisitions and Partnerships on University of Delaware Webinar on Wednesday
The University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics invites you to its annual Chaplin Tyler Lecture, a webinar on “Sourcing Innovation Through Acquisitions and Partnerships” featuring David Elkins, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Bristol Myers Squibb, on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 10:30 AM-12 PM.
Q&A will be moderated by Fei Xie, a professor of finance.
Elkins joined BMS as a result of the acquisition of Celgene, where he was Executive Vice President and CFO. Prior to Celgene, he served as CFO of Johnson & Johnson’s Consumer Products, Medical Devices, and Corporate Functions, with $40 billion in revenue.
Prior to J&J, his experiences include Executive Vice President and CFO of Becton, Dickinson & Company, a global medical device company. From 1995 to 2008, he held roles of increasing responsibility at AstraZeneca, working in the U.S., Asia, and Europe.
Elkins earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Lerner School of Business at the University of Delaware, an M.B.A. from Lebow School of Business at Drexel University, and a M.S. degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed the Wharton Executive Development Program and has earned his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Financial Manager (CFM) designations.
