Ambler-based Phenom Continues Growth with Acquisition of Silicon Valley Company
Ambler-based Phenom, a hiring-software maker, is continuing to grow through the acquisition of My Ally, a Silicon Valley software firm that automates the scheduling of job interviews, writes Joseph N. DiStefano for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
“Their curious, energetic culture fits well with our own,” said Phenom CEO Mahe Bayireddi.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Phenom already counts Microsoft, Southwest Airlines, and 300 other companies among its clients. To further facilitate its growth, last winter the company managed to raise $30 million from a group of Silicon Valley investors led by Westbridge Capital.
And while both companies are headquartered in the United States, they recruit many of their engineers in Hyderabad, India, where the talent is less expensive. Phenom currently has 700 total employees, with 150 of them working in Ambler, 450 in Hyderabad, and the remaining at the company’s other locations in Europe and Asia.
The company will add My Ally to its Talent Experience Management platform to speed up job applications as well as gathering applicant and job data to be used in the future through chatbot, SMS, and other instant links.
