Seats are still available in one of the top Allied Health programs at Harcum College: Occupational Therapy Assisting (OTA). Classes start on Friday.

Occupational therapy is a health profession that utilizes everyday life activities to help people of all ages prevent, lessen, or overcome disabilities that interfere with their ability to lead independent and satisfying lives. The occupational therapy assistant, under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist, works in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, rehabilitation facilities, mental health settings, and in community-based intervention.

The full-time, on-campus program at Harcum College is very competitive. It offers courses one day per week, supported by online assignments during the week, with core educational courses offered weekdays, evenings, or online.

The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.

OTA is a growing, diverse healthcare profession that is in demand. OTAs rank as one of the best healthcare support jobs in the U.S., according to U.S. News & World Report.

In 2019, Harcum’s OTA graduates had more than a 90 percent pass rate on their certification exam and all were employed in their field within six months.
