Loren Gray, a Pottstown native and self-made social media phenomenon, has released a video of the acoustic version of her new single, “Cake,” according to a staff report from the Artist Direct.

She recorded the video at her Los Angeles home, where she moved to aged 15. Her producers, the Wavys, accompany her from their patio. The original song was released on May 16.

Gray had already accumulated more than 100 million cumulative global streams of her songs before she even turned 18. Her latest single has also now been viewed more than two million times since its release.

To celebrate the release of “Cake,” the young star who has a whopping 44.5 million TikTok followers and 19.5 million Instagram followers took over the Tasty TikTok and made their classic chocolate cake.

“Cake” follows a series of singles Gray released in 2019, including “Options,” “Lie Like That,” and “Can’t Do It” (feat. Saweetie).

She was also featured on Lost Kings’ “Anti-Everything,” appeared in the closing scene of Taylor Swift’s official video for “The Man,” and done a cameo in Kim Petra’s celebrity-studded “Malibu” (At Home Edition) video.
