In a recent speech at a rally for Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, Donald Trump Jr. recalled his time at The Hill School in Pottstown, which he said helped him better understand working class issues, writes Adam Hermann for the Philly Voice.

Trump attended the Montgomery County boarding school as a teenager before he enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania.

During his speech, Trump said he partly grew up in the rust belt since he went to school in Pottstown.

However, Herman argues, its debatable whether The Hill School is a beacon of working-class values. The year his father was elected President of the United States, Business Insider ranked The Hill School as the 34th-most elite boarding school in the nation.

The school currently has the annual tuition of $61,410 for boarding students and $42,370 for day students. At the same time, median household income in the country in 2017 was $61,372. This means a working-class household would have to spend 100 percent of its income on tuition for boarding students.
