College Consensus’s methodology compiles rankings from Forbes, Money, U.S. News, Wallethub, WSJ/Times Higher Education, and Washington Monthly. The organization says it only utilizes reputable student review sites that include an overall review score for each school. These currently include Cappex, My Plan, Niche, Students Review, and Unigo.

College Consensus provides an aggregate score based on all of a university’s rankings, which, it argues, gives equal weight to the perspectives of both experts and real students.
