Montgomery County COVID-19 Sunday Morning Update – March 29th
Based on the information found on the County’s COVID-19 website, here is quick snapshot of the spread of coronavirus across Montgomery County.
There were 33 new positive Montgomery County COVID-19 cases reported on Saturday down from 58 new cases reported Friday.
These positive individuals are from 20 municipalities, only one of which, Franconia Township, is reporting its first cases.
A breakdown of Saturday’s reported new positive cases follows:
- Age Range: 3 – 86
- Age Brackets: (1) 0 – 9, (0) 10 – 19, (6) 20 – 29, (4) 30 – 39, (6) 40 – 49, (3) 50 – 59, (6) 60 – 69, (5) 70 – 79, (2) 80 – 89
- Gender: 14 females, 18 males
- Hospitalized: (10) No, (18) Unknown, (5) Yes
The 33 new positive cases brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 404 countywide.
Of those 404 confirmed cases countywide, 203 are male, 197 are female.
The average age of individuals with COVID-19 is 47.4 years old with the youngest patient being a 1 year-old Royersford boy and a 95 year-old Abington man, the oldest.
Fortyeight of the County’s 62 municipalities are home to at least one individual with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

Montgomery County officials Saturday reported the death of a 61-year-old Norristown female. Her death, the County’s fifth, on Friday puts the county at 14.7-percent of the 34 deaths attributed to the coronavirus statewide.
The County’s total number of reported cases represent 14.6-percent of the 2,751 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across Pennsylvania.
By comparison, as of noon Wednesday, with the exception of Philadelphia County with 709 cases, neighboring and surrounding counties all have fewer positive COVID-19 cases than does Montgomery County:

Also statewide, 316 patients have been hospitalized with COVID-19 related sickness. Since the first hospitalization on March 6th, the age range of patients hospitalized across the state is:
