Montgomery County COVID-19 Afternoon Update – March 24th
Based on the information found on the County’s COVID-19 dashboard as well as the commissioner’s press conference Monday afternoon, here is quick snapshot of the spread of coronavirus across Montgomery County.
There were 26 new positive Montgomery County COVID-19 cases reported on Monday. These positive individuals are from 12 municipalities, four of which are reporting their first cases.
A breakdown of Monday’s reported new positive cases follows:
- Age Range: 18 to 81
- Age Brackets: (1) 10 – 19, (2) 20 – 29, (4) 30 – 39, (4) 40 – 49, (5) 50 – 59, (5) 60 – 69, (3) 70 – 79, (2) 80 – 84
- Gender: 13 females, 13 males
- Hospitalized: (4) Yes, (9) No, (13) Unknown,
The 26 new positive cases brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 136 countywide.
Of those 136 confirmed cases countywide, 72 are male, 64 are female.
The County’s total number of reported cases represent 13-percent of the 871 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across Pennsylvania.
By comparison, as of noon Tuesday, neighboring and surrounding counties continues to trend lower have fewer positive COVID-19 cases:

The County’s 136 COVID-19 cases are spread across all ages with the youngest patient being a 1 year-old Royersford boy and the oldest patient, a 95 year-old Cheltenham man.
Countywide, the average age of residents with Coronavirus is just under 50 years-old, a an increase of 0ne year since Sunday.
Incidents of COVID-19 are spread across all sections of Montgomery County.

Approximately 1,100 individuals were expected to be tested by the end of the day Monday at the Montgomery County COVID-19 drive-through testing site. The center, based on Temple University’s Ambler Campus, began testing individuals that met the required criteria Saturday morning.
That criteria was expanded yesterday to include individuals with known contact with someone who tested positive to COVID-19 or persons experiencing symptoms and who has a doctor’s recommendation.
