Montgomery County COVID-19 Morning Update – March 21st
Based on the information found on the County’s COVID-19 dashboard as well as the commissioner’s Thursday afternoon press conference, here is quick snapshot of the spread of coronavirus across Montgomery County.
There were thirteen new positive Montgomery County COVID-19 cases reported on Friday, two of which, a 66 year-old Whitpain man and a 4 year-old New Hanover child, are hospitalized.
The thirteen new positive cases brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 68 countywide.
Of those 68 confirmed cases countywide, 35 are male, 33 are female.
The County’s total number of reported cases represent 25-percent of the 268 confirmed COVID-19 cases across Pennsylvania.
By comparison, as of noon Thursday, the number of confirmed cases in neighboring and surrounding counties continues to trend lower:

The County’s 68 cases on the county’s dashboard are spread across all ages with the youngest patient being a 1 year-old Royersford boy and the oldest patient, a 95 year-old Cheltenham man.
Countywide, the average age of residents with Coronavirus is just under 45 years-old.
With the exception of thirteen cases in County’s southeast corner, incidents of COVID-19 are predominantly found in the central and western sections of Montgomery County, with 32 cases found in municipalities along the Main Line or the 422 Corridor:
