The 42nd annual Montgomery County High School Exhibition and Competition hosted by Montgomery County Community College will open on March 3 with a reception at the College’s Fine Arts Center Gallery at Central Campus in Blue Bell.

The exhibit, which is open to the community, will feature artwork made in a variety of media by students from Montgomery County schools.

“This is a great opportunity for high school students to display their artwork in a professional gallery setting and to share their talents with the community,” said MCCC Galleries Director Patrick Rodgers. “Every year, I am impressed by the students’ work.”

Nancy Saladik, a painter, author, and instructor, is the show’s juror. Saladik earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kutztown University, majoring in Communication Design. She received her master’s degree in Art Education from Arcadia University.

Her work experience includes many years in graphic design and several years as an art educator in the Philadelphia area. She is currently a full-time artist.

While taking classes at MCCC, Saladik was recognized with the “Best in Show” award at the college’s annual student art exhibition. Her artwork has been added to MCCC’s permanent collection.

The exhibit will run until March 27.
