Colleen Yaeger Kriebel, owner of Kriebel’s Custom Bakery in Eagleville, has been honored with Lower Providence Township’s 2019 Business of the Year Award, writes M. English for The Reporter.

The 38-year-old Plymouth Meeting native discovered her aptitude for pie-making after she enrolled in the culinary program at Central Montco Technical High School.

From there, she continued to shine at district, state, and national baking competitions. She also made the honor roll and attracted attention from several professional schools.

She accepted a scholarship to the Culinary Institute of America, and graduated with a prestigious CIA nineteen years ago.

Over the years, she honed her pastry skills at various area culinary venues, such as Aux Petits Delices in Wayne, Parc Bistro in Skippack, and Presidential Caterers in Norristown.

Once she opened her store, it did not take her long to gain a loyal following.

Kriebel is quick to point out that the latest recognition is one of her proudest moments yet.

“I was so honored to be chosen for this award,” she said. “For them to pick me, really, words just don’t express how honored and humbled I feel.”
