After nearly 25 years at Suburban Square in Ardmore, Ruby’s Diner – the first Ruby’s location to open in the Philadelphia area - closed its doors for good this week.

After nearly 25 years at Suburban Square in Ardmore, Ruby’s Diner – the first Ruby’s location to open in the Philadelphia area – closed its doors for good this week, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The kid-friendly, ’40s-theme malt-shop chain notified its customers about the closure with a sign on the door that explained the eatery’s lease was about to expire.

Instead Customers were steered towards the chain’s nearest location which is in Glen Mills.
