The Judiciary Committee of the Montgomery Bar Association wants to help voters make informed decisions when casting their judicial votes on November 5 with its Informed Choices 2019 campaign.

Making an informed decision is of crucial importance, as judges make decisions every day that affect the lives of all citizens in profound ways.

The campaign provides local citizens with the most in-depth, non-biased, and relevant information to ensure that the most qualified judicial candidates are voted onto the County’s bench.

The recommendations were provided by the Judiciary Committee after a thorough and careful review of the candidates by a group of experienced, objective, and dedicated individuals who only want to see the most qualified judges on the bench.

The criteria included having integrity, moral character, good health, legal ability, trial experience, and judicial temperament.

One of the candidates for the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County judges, Virgil B. Walker has been rated “Highly Recommended,” while Henry S. Hilles, III and Melissa Schwartz Sterling have received a “Recommended” rating.

Meanwhile, Matthew T. Hovey, Gregg Richman, and Robert Zigmund were given a “Not Recommended” rating.
