Restoration Hardware Plans One of Its ‘Mansions’ for King of Prussia Mall

By

Restoration Hardware is currently working on preliminary plans to bring one of its RH Gallery concepts to King of Prussia Mall, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The home furnishings retailer is planning to build the “mansion“ on a portion of the parking lot where JCPenney used to be located.

The proposed RH Gallery would be a part of a larger plan by the mall’s owner, Simon Property Group, to incorporate apartments, a hotel, and an outdoor work-play space into that section of the mall.

Restoration Hardware already has a store in the sprawling retail mecca. The company has also opened several RH Gallery concepts nationwide, including the latest in Minneapolis last week.

The concepts, as shown in the top video of the chain’s Palm Beach gallery, are freestanding and multilevel structures that essentially represent showrooms for the retailer’s products.

Each location has an in-house designer, while several locations have restaurants and wine bars.

According to the company, the RH Gallery concept is “blurring the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors, physical and digital. We create spaces that are more home than store and inspire a new way of living.”
