Nearly a year after announcing a $200 million development in Upper Dublin, BET Investments has an anchor tenant for the site at Welsh and Dreshertown roads.

Sprouts Farmer’s Market Inc., an organic and natural foods grocer, will build out its first suburban store in the Philadelphia area, writes Natalie Kostelni for Philadelphia Business Journal.

There is a Sprouts Farmers Market in Philadelphia. Sprouts started out as a fruit stand in 1943 according to their website.

The Sprouts market is expected to be the biggest tenant at 30,000 square feet at the site, which is being called The Promenade at Upper Dublin and has 128,000 square feet of retail space.

More than a third of the site is already under lease, with another nearly two thirds under contract. Six restaurants with outdoor dining, and a pet store with a dog day care is also expected to be a tenant in the center.

The president of BET Investments, Michael Markman, would not disclose which restaurants are interested in the site, nor confirm Sprouts as the anchor tenant.
