Moyer Indoor | Outdoor announces this year’s student scholarship recipients. This year, five students were given the scholarships.  Since the program’s inception in 2008 over 60 awards have been given to children of employees continuing their education.  The awards were presented to the recipients at Moyer Indoor | Outdoor by David Moyer, President; and Lisa Futchko, HR Representative.

Awards went to the following children of current MOYER employees:

Michael Moyer, son of Terri Moyer, Payroll and Benefits Representative. Michael is a 2019 graduate of Dock Mennonite Academy and will be attending Liberty University in the fall working toward a degree in finance. His career goal is to work in finance with a professional sports team.

Kara Steckel, daughter of Larry Steckel in Lawn and Tree Care. Kara is a 2018 graduate of Northern Lehigh University and is attending Kutztown University and studying for a BS in Spanish Education. Her career goal is to teach Spanish to high school children.

Ian McHugh, son of Bill McHugh in Pest Control Sales. Ian is a 2019 graduate of Phoenixville High School and will be attending Penn State University working toward a degree in Education. His career goal is to start his own Architectural Engineering Firm.

Nick Groff, son of Randy Groff in Pest Control. Nick is a 2017 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and is attending Temple University studying Sports and Recreation Management. His career goal is to work in the Athletics Office in a college and then move to the Athletics office of a professional sports team.

Kevin Walter, son of Christine Walter in Pest Control. Kevin is a 2019 graduate of Souderton Area High School and will be attending Arcadia University in the fall studying Public Health and Physician Assistant. His career goal is to become a Physician Assistant.
