Where to see fireworks over the July 4 holiday

It can’t be the July 4 holiday weekend without fireworks, and Montgomery County has plenty of shows on tap to celebrate our nation’s birthday.
Conshohocken kicks things off on July 3 with a display at Sutcliffe Park beginning at 9:45 p.m.

Norristown gets into the swing with a full schedule of events on July 4, with a parade beginning at 9:45 a.m. starting at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Marshall Street and ending on Main Street. A block party begins on Main Street at 10:30 a.m., which includes craft vendors, live music, food and a special kids zone.
The action then shifts to Elmwood Park Zoo for a concert beginning at 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. followed by a fireworks show at Latshaw-McCarthy Field at dusk.
Pottstown’s Memorial Park GoFourth celebration is also set for July 4, with the National Anthem, at 11:30 a.m. and family friendly activities and food throughout the day. A U.S. Hot Air Balloon Team will release balloons from the park at 6 p.m. with fireworks at dusk.
Other fireworks sites on July 4 include:
- Glenside events at Abington Junior and Senior High at 9 p.m.
- Skippack Village will host a show at Palmer Park, beginning at dusk
- The Lower Providence Township building will have events and fireworks beginning at 6:30 p.m.
- Narberth’s 77-year-old July 4 tradition and carnival at Narberth Park at dusk
- The Upper Merion Township events will be held at Heuser Park with fireworks at dusk
On July 5, Wissahickon High School will be the site of the Kiwanis Club carnival and fireworks show beginning at 6 p.m. and fireworks at dusk. The carnival runs through July 6.
