Upper Providence apartment complex proposed near Providence Town Center

Audubon Land Development is planning to develop a 586-unit complex with a hotel on the 20-acres near the Providence Town Center off Route 422 in Upper Providence. The land in question is located behind a Wegmans and near White Springs at Providence, a Toll Brothers Inc. residential community. If approved, the project will have six buildings and the hotel alone will have 110 rooms, according to plans filed with Upper Providence.

Audubon Land affiliates have built over 3,000 homes around the Montgomery County area, including many well-known commercial facilities such as, the Audubon Square Shopping Center, The Hilton Homewood Suites in Audubon, the 422 Business Center, The Hilton Garden Inn at Oaks, the Greater Philadelphia Expo in Oaks and many more.

“The proposal so far has received tentative land development and conditional use approvals. It is expected to go before the planning commission in August,” writes Kostelini.

Silver Rhino Development is proposing another large multifamily development in the general area of Upper Providence. Silver Rhino is proposing a development at Hopwood Road and Route 29 for 185 units called Yerkes Station. ” It along with the Audubon Land project would join Madison at Providence, a 240-unit newly constructed apartment complex in the Providence Corporate Center off Route 29 and across from the town center. The sites are near where Dow Chemical, Pfizer, SEI Investments and GlaxoSmithKline have operations,” writes Kostelini.
