Piazza Management Co., with offices in West Norriton Township at Westover Golf Club, is proposing a large development where two of their auto dealerships now stand in Ardmore.

If approved the development would include 257 apartments, more than 120,000 square feet of commericial space and an underground parking garage, writes Jacob Adelman for philly.com.

Update: Ardmore officials could vote to approve or deny the plan as early as next month.

The Piazza Management Company patriarch Vince Piazza has grown an automobile dealership empire along with his famous son, Mike Piazza, who grew up playing baseball in Phoenixville before being picked up in the 62 round of the MLB draft by family friend Tommy Lasorda, who was managing the Los Angeles Dodgers at the time. The rest, they say, is history.
