PYSANKY WORKSHOPS

March 30 – 31
Bryn Athyn Historic District

Pysanky is the beautiful, elaborate, Easter eggs found in Polish, Ukrainian and Russian traditions. Learning this centuries-old technique for decorating Easter eggs is easier than you might think. Using a stylus called a kistka, we will write with melted beeswax onto the shell of a raw egg, then dip it into vibrant dyes. We will complete two different eggs in the workshop, and you will keep your kistka and wax to use at home. Join us to make your own little heirloom – it’s a lot of fun, and the results will impress your family and friends!

AUTISM FRIENDLY TRAIN

March 30
Colebrookdale Railroad

Join us on an Autism Friendly Train along our beautiful and scenic line!

Please come early (10 AM or 2:30 PM) and allow yourself to become familiar with the train yard, the ticket building, the boarding platform, the many different train cars and the uniformed staff and volunteers who will be serving you during your excursion on the Secret Valley Line.

Because of the variety of dietary concerns, a special exception has been made and we encourage you to bring your own snacks. We will, however, have our a la carte menu available (we are NOT serving our usual plates in parlor because of dietary restrictions)
