Cathleen Plesnarski appointed new executive director at Eastern

Cathleen Plesnarski was selected as the new executive director of Eastern Center for Arts and Technology from a large pool of applicants.

Cathleen Plesnarski, Ed.D., who has served as the assistant director for Upper Bucks County Technical School since 2011, was appointed as Eastern Center for Arts and Technology’s executive director, effective March 18.

Cathleen Plesnarski was selected for the position from a large pool of candidates. Her knowledge of technical education, her work with curriculum and instruction, and her leadership abilities helped her stand out from the large pack of applicants.


Plesnarski has impressive experience in the education field and even more impressive education credentials.  Plesnarski served as an instructional coach at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute where she provided job support to teachers, helping to improve student achievement. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Pennsylvania State University and continued her education at Lehigh University receiving her master’s degree in educational leadership. Finally Plesnarski received her doctorate in educational leadership from Delaware Valley University. She takes her responsibility as an educator very seriously.

Plesnarski is excited to take her new position as executive director at Eastern Center for Arts and Technology. In her new role she will work with the admistrative team to identify educational trends in secondary education, adult career education, and technical education. In addition she will work with advisory committees to provide help with staffing and develop business opportunities to benefit students and the community.
