Tech Talk: Medical Guardian markets smart watch for seniors
Center City-based Medical Guardian, makers of medical alert products for older adults, has gone live with a product for the “new senior” — a smart watch called Freedom Guardian.
The watch features a two-way communication system for emergency response, reminders for daily tasks like taking pills and local weather forecasts, writes Roberto Torres at technical.ly.

The $99 wearable comes with an accessible interface featuring large icons, voice-texting and screen-reading capabilities. Access to the full capabilities of the watch will run users a $44 monthly service fee.
Geoff Gross, founder and CEO of Medical Guardian, said the smartwatch is a symbol of the company’s next wave of offerings and the larger shift in connected health.
